The Skam!:Links

A collection of links to local bands that we enjoy, and are friends with.

O.S.S

This death metal band has about as many members as a typical ska/ punk band. What no one knows is that they actually used to be a ska band ( *O.S.S = Optimistic Silly Skankers.)

Royal Nonesuch

A couple of our close friends are in this nutty ska band. Their site puts us to shame. I feel better when I try to think that their site designer has nothing much better to do (which he has verified).

Mary's Laugh

Their "saxxy" Alto sax player, Peg, toured North America with us for about one year, until she decided that we were weren't "man" enough for her stylistic expression. She still has my compact, that bitch.

Without Reason

Pure NYHC.

The Extremities

Rick Foley, a fellow Paper Plate Productions member, sings for this crazy punk band. Yea, I hate 'em already, too.

Stifling Neglect

Awesome hardcore outfit with a flawless sound and jazz-type breakdowns.

Self Riot

"Hooligan Rock". A blend of thrash-punk with hard hitting lyrics.

Misc

A collection of random links to sites that we like.

Paper Plate Productions

This is the production company that Preet and Abeer are members of. Have an idea to book a show, or wonder if you can be part of one? Hit the link.

Whole Note

By far, one of the best guitar related sites. Everything from tabs, to discussions, to in depth lessons on every genre of music.

Ska, Punk and Hardcore.

This is a great site if you wanna know about these three genres . It's composed of only 2 pages; the first being primarily about punk and the second about ska, skinheads and hardcore . Even has a little section on grunge as well .

Interpunk

A website filled with buttons, patches, pins, CD's and reviews, videos, clothes etc. of your favorite ska punk and hardcore bands .

Bandname.com

Got a band? Register the name here before we steal it.

One Step Beyond

This is the official site for the radio show "One Step Beyond" (Sunday nights,11:00 pm - 92.7 WLIR) which plays exclusive ska, punk and indie rock. Listen to it, if you can stay up....lightweight.
